A Modern Jewelry Dream: Garland Collection

Spotting these in the latest edition of ELLE, I was stopped in my fickle page-flipping tracks. The perfect star – These earrings are so simple yet so rock-n0-roll. I jumped on the computer to find out who the designer, Nicole Mann Novick, was and where I could purchase a pair (read: covet relentlessly until my husband found a reason for me to deserve such an indulgent gift).

To my happy surprise, it turns out Novick created an entire new collection around stars appropriately named “Galaxy”. Earrings (choose from studs or hoops), bracelets, and necklaces all feature what I believe is the most perfectly shaped star. And, if we are very good girls, all the items in the Galaxy collection are available with handset diamonds.

Search the site to find more of her special designs, including her signature “Pendant” necklace that you can emblazon with your personal moniker or anything you deem worth engraving and wearing around your neck. Make sure you share the knowledge so when that special occasion arrives – maybe it’s a graduation, anniversary, birthday, or, yes, even childbirth – you are sure to get what you want. It may be a little pricey but it’s very, very nicey. Garlandcollection.com

Bring The Fantasy Home

Although the name is inspired by the owner’s former home on Jane Street in Manhattan, this site is a gateway for International interior design. If you are looking for something unique for your home or a gift for a host or hostess, this is the place. Their accessories are both artful and practical. I love that when I buy something from here I know I am not likely to see it anywhere else. It was hard to choose which item to feature but my husband and I own the “Ghost Clock” – which we love for its’ “Alice in Wonderland” whimsical design.

There are so many fun and affordable things on this site – I am currently coveting their Fuzz Votives and the DuffyLondon Chandelier Prints. FYI – 2jane.com also offers a gift registry that I wish I knew about before my wedding. Talk about a great alternative to Crate and Barrel! 2jane.com

Tasty and Trendy Chocolate? They do it.

Just because Valentine’s day is over, doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve a little treat! Instead of waiting around for some guy (read: tool) to send these to you, order them for friends, or better yet—yourself! LA based and celeb fav, Compartes Chocolatier makes these dark chocolate truffles not only trendy, but dangerously tasty with their golden skull design. Infused with sinfully tempting Mexican hot chocolate spices, including cinnamon and cayenne pepper, you just might need to order a second box.

With all natural and organic ingredients, Compartes also boasts Dark Chocolate and Beer limited edition truffles that will give memories of those glorious frat party days a run for their money. In addition, their popular Honey, Peanut Butter and Sea Salt truffle will satisfy those sweet and salty cravings in one explosive bite. With orgasmic concoctions like these (and multiple ones in every box!) who needs a man? compartes.stores.yahoo.net

Naughty, yet so nice: Jimmy Jane

My friend made the honest mistake of buying the JimmyJane Ember candle with the sole purpose of having its beautifully rich and intoxicating scent permeate her apartment. Boy, was she in for a wicked and sensual surprise! Simple and non-descript candle by day, sensual massage wax by night!

With a small and elegant spout for easy pouring, your partner will be as grateful for such a stimulating indulgence as Ricky Martin was in his Livin’ La Vida Loca video. With invigorating scents like Lychee + Lapsang and Truffle + Gardenia, you can go ahead and get your “new kicks in the candle light.” Go to the website for other classy, yet naughty, adult accessories: jimmyjane.com. Now that’s hot!

My Helen Ficalora collection started with their signature charm necklace and has since moved on to additional charms (lots to choose from), long chains and a ring (my wedding band). I’m hoping for a pair of gold flower studs inset with diamonds. Fingers crossed! helenficalora.com
